As many of you know, the Perpetual Calendar is my favourite complication and to have
the opportunity to review such beauty is Magical! but why ?

First because i love A. Lange & Söhne. They always work on calibres with a true deep passion and the ease of use is never left behind. In short, there’s a purpose for everyting you see. For instance, The flyback chronograph mechanism has a jumping minute counter or The pusher at 10 o’clock advances all calendar displays collectively. That’s just superb! and i can’t imagine how challenging it is to engineer such « engines ».

Design-wise, they obviously stay true to their dna with a big date at 12 o’clock. At 8 o’clock, you’ll find a counter with small seconds / day of the week and night-day indication. At 4 o’clock is the jumping 30 minutes chronograph indicator, month and leap year. Finally, you’ll find a Moon phase at 6 o’clock and a discreet power reserve indicator between 9 and 10 o’clock (outer ring) « AB » « AUF »

The open back is a Show on its own. The Finishing, the Tourbillon, the Flyback Chronograph gears… and you want to separately set the moon phase, week day and month, three correctors are placed on the side case.

For this series, the case is made in White Gold and the dial in Pink Gold. I have to say that the dial is quite interesting because at first, i thought it was a salmon dial and when they told me that it was a Pink Gold « untreated », i was very surprised.
Well done! I Love it.
