ROYAL OAK CONCEPT FLYING TOURBILLON GMT

This new 44mm Royal Oak Concept was introduced in January at
the 2018 SIHH and it didn’t disappoint.

It’s the first time that the collection offers a Flying tourbillon and it definitely brings a lot visually.

A quick adjustable GMT indication is present at 3 o’clock with its dedicated pusher located below the crown. Another great feature is the « Crown position » indicator at 6 o’clock. With the letters H-N-R, you can quickly see if you’re in the Hour-Neutral-Winding (Remontage, in french) position.

Hand winding piece, 10 days of power reserve are offered. Even if there is no indicator, an approximate winding need can be determined looking at the open barrels. A nice and useful choice as both springs are perfectly integrated in the environment.

The watch looks bigger than a « standard » 44mm watch and the main reason comes from the design of its grey titanium case. But no worries, on the wrist, it’s perfectly wearable and comfortable.

This 2018 version offers definitely a big plus with its Flying Tourbillon. In such price segment (180K), clients expect to get outstanding designs and features (which is the case on this one) so if you’re looking at a modern/sporty Audemars Piguet, Voila!
