RÉCITAL 22 GRAND RÉCITAL

Tellerium-Orrery : The Sun - Earth - The Moon
60 movements that totally deserve the words « Grand récital »

The Maison Horlogère BOVET invite us to explore/appreciate those three particular indications on the front face of the timepiece. You can clearly see the hand painted dome which represents Earth. Its graduation shows the Hour and a quick look at the tip of the white triangle (above the Flying tourbillon) will let you know the actual Hour.

Around the Earth, a spherical Moon was smartly placed. It does a full revolution in 29,53 days thanks to a complex mechanism inside the Earth dome. The sphere also turns on itself as the indication is directly linked to the Sun located on top of the Flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock.

On the left side, there is a Retrograde minutes and a Date. The date is placed between the retrograde minutes and the « heart » of the creation. The round glass magnifies the date number making it quite big! and i have to say that at first, it was a little bit strange. I’m not used to see BOVET timepieces with magnified indications but that’s not a big deal.

On the right, you’ll find a 9 days power reserve indicator matching perfectly the retrograde minutes design.

If it wasn’t enough, a Perpetual Calendar is on the back! I repeat : A Perpetual Calendar on the BACK. Wow.
This side shows that the brand also knows how to design simple/clear indications. I knew they could do traditional/simple designs but i find pretty cool to have them both in one timepiece.

Already on my top 3 of 2018! Bravo, BOVET.
