To me, every year Chopard has at least one wonderful novelty and this one is no exception. Launched during Baselworld 2019, the L.U.C Flying T Twin is the first Flying Tourbillon calibre of the Maison Horlogère. Placed at 6 o’clock, the regulating organ does a full turn in 60 seconds therefore the small triangle part gives you an approximate seconds indication.

I love how all wheels are placed behind the Flying Tourbillon. It somehow helps you to understand how a mechanical movement works (or partially) so in this case, a « Flying Tourbillon is worth a 1000 words »

I’m always impressed by Chopard’s products because even if the Flying Tourbillon is the star of the « Show », the rest is so well executed. Original Hour/Minutes Gold hands and hour markers, both polished, a solid Gold dial with a grey ruthenium surface and a complex decoration which by the way would look better without the central pattern (but it’s a personal opinion).

A thickness of only 7.2 mm for its case! Wow. On the wrist, not only it’s comfortable but also you don’t feel like you’re wearing a « weak » or « fragile » timepiece. Perhaps it’s the weight of the Gold material or its design (i don’t know) but one thing is for sure, it’s worth the try/buy.

On the open back, once again we’re talking : Serious High Quality
A 22K Gold micro-rotor with « Perlage », Damaskeening finishing and more… Well, everything you expect from a Manufacture.
