LAUREATO TOURBILLON

Well-known for their Three Gold Bridges, GIRARD-PERREGAUX presents the « LAUREATO TOURBILLON »
Part of a complete new collection the timepiece has a second major design characteristic.

Inspired by the Santa Maria del Fiore dome (Florence, Italy), the Laureato model was created in the mid-1970. Recognizable, Sporty, Elegant, GIRARD-PERREGAUX brought it back in 2016 with a limited edition to celebrate their 225th Anniversary.

This year (SIHH 2017) they’re coming with a full Laureato collection! and we fairly enjoyed this one : The « LAUREATO TOURBILLON »

The mechanical caliber GP09510 is wonderful! Nowadays, it’s quite rare to find a Tourbillon inside a self winding (micro-rotor) movement so that only made us very curious and excited. As always with «GP», the overall finishing is beautifully executed. If you have the chance to see it (or one), we highly recommended you to take a magnifying glass and explore… If you look closely, our pictures are showing some greats details such as the arrows tip, the bridge itself and of course the open back.

The « Clou de Paris » dial offers a nice texture visually as much the integrated leather strap. Rose Gold and Grey Titanium is a winning formula but we were quite surprised by how thin the case is.
It definitely proves that the manufacture GIRARD-PERREGAUX has a lot of know-how and we can’t wait to review the next one.

Congratulations, GIRARD-PERREGAUX !
