Partners since 2017, HUBLOT & RICHARD ORLINSKI is a special association. Both are extremely successful in their respective fields and thanks to the extension of the « Fusion » concept, Hublot chooses amazing partners to create original creations.

The graphic universe of Richard Orlinski is unique and contemporary. I really like his giants faceted animal such as the T-REX or Wild Kong. Now, How did Hublot managed to merge Mr. Orlinski’s style into the watch ? Well, it’s mainly about the case. However, this one goes a little bit further.

I love the job done on the open calibre HUB6021. The Tourbillon at 6 o’clock is Superb and plays a big role visually. It’s the only animated section of the timepiece.

At 9 o’clock, you’ll find a power reserve indication. A very useful information as the piece has a manual winding mechanism. To wind it, you simply need to turn the crown. Note that not only the small hand (at 9 o’clock) will move but also the open barrel at 12 o’clock which is quite Fun if you ask me.

The time setting (by opening the crown) is also pleasant because you’re going to see some gears get together and in a sense « understand » how a mechanical movement interacts.

The evolution of the partnership between Hublot & Richard Orlinski is great! This january 2019 novelty steps up to a « Tourbillon » so who knows what the future holds.

My only remark is regarding the bezel screws. I would have love them to be aligned in a certain way but it’s a detail.
