To combine a double-counter chronograph & Kurt Klaus’s moon phase can only result in an outstanding timepiece !

The number of mechanical complications inside the caliber 89630 is endless… We love the flyback function (enabling the chronograph to exit a measurement instantaneously) and obviously the perpetual calendar. A lot of know-how is required to create such caliber and the fact that all indications are so clear visually is for sure another achievement.

Here you have a timeless « classical » design expressing the high mechanical watchmaking culture.
The moon phase at 12 o’clock is beautifully integrated inside the chronograph counter allowing the owner to have an additional information or complication. All proportions are very well executed (knowing that the diameter is 43 mm) and even the colours are well balanced.

Visually, the grey hands and arabic numbers are bringing « consistency » as they’re linked to the stainless steel case. The black « Santoni » alligator leather strap adds also classicism and elegancy.
The polishing on the bridges, blue screws, skeleton rotor… Actually the overall finishing is stunning and we highly recommend you to use a magnifying glass to appreciate it.

Definitely a must see or buy for mechanical lovers.
Congratulations, IWC !
