Launched at the SIHH 2018 this timepiece (3 versions available) celebrates the company’s 150th anniversary! Of course, other creations were presented and pretty solid ones but to me, its design and the digital display simply took the front row. I can fairly say that most people kept it in mind during and after the salon.

It’s the first time that IWC offers digital hours & minutes on a wristwatch and the result is Superb!
Except the small seconds hand at 6 o’clock, all indications are « jumping » from one number to another which is pretty cool. The mechanism required a more complex development and i’m glad that 60 hours of power reserve are still offered (despite the energy need of all discs).

The dial has a lovely vintage look! In fact, it’s an homage to a form which the brand started to use in pocket watches back in 1884. Extremely limited, (only 25 pieces) this Platinum version is my favourite. I actually love the black background behind the numbers! it really gives a plus aesthetically.

Well done! Happy Anniversary IWC.
