To own a watch, stamped by the Watchmaking School of Le Locle (NE) will soon be possible. The Professional School revives the « Montres-École ». A tradition brought back to life to
commemorate the 150th anniversary of the establishment.

Only 150 pieces of this mechanical wristwatch will be produced from now to november 2018. The concept of this Swiss made timepiece, entirely designed at school and produced in partnership with Neuchâtel companies, was presented Thursday at Le Locle.

The Watch has a "champagne" dial, animated by an ETA 6498 movement and equipped with a leather strap. The timepieces are on sale on their website at a price of 1'150 CHF per unit.

This project involved dozens of young apprentices and many teachers. Three disciplines were associated: The Designers (for the concept and the construction), The Micromechanists (for the realization and manufacture) and finally The Watchmakers for the assembly and adjustment.

In addition to its emblematic side, the production of a « Montre-École » has an important pedagogical dimension.
