The GPHG 2017 « Travel Time » first prize was reintroduced during the SIHH 2019 with a stunning slate-coloured guilloché dial and as you know, a dial can change everything

Of course, i’m only talking in terms of aesthetics because honestly, there is no reason to change the calibre. No additional complication or modification, just the one rewarded few years ago. As a reminder, the movement has two very distinct time zones with their own day/night indication. They can be adjusted to the minute (which is very useful in half an hour time zones) thanks to two crowns on the side case. A 60 seconds subdial is present at 6 o’clock and the central hand with a red colour on top indicates the date.

The date has a nice retrograde system which goes so fast that it’s quite difficult to see the hand go back to the number 1!

The guilloché dial give a totally new perspective to the timepiece. To me, it’s more harmonious and when i look at the overall piece (dial, the case decoration, the skeleton hands and so on…) it’s simply gorgeous.

The case back is very clean. The off-centered aperture is well done and i like the decoration on the rotor.

A very Elegant, Timeless and Convenient variation.
Bravo, Parmigiani Fleurier.
