FREDERIC JOUVENOT - SÎN
A MESOPOTAMIAN REPRESENTATION OF THE DAY & NIGHT COMPLICATION !
SîN or NANNA was the God of the Moon in the Mesopotamian mythology and on this timepiece FREDERIC JOUVENOT presents a day and night indication with 2 balls. The gold one represents the day and the black one (SÎN) the night.
A tube or tunnel split the front dial in 2 sections. The visible section shows you a ball and therefore the current day or night indication. The idea here is to transmit the relationship between 2 Mesopotamian Gods on a dial, meaning that one « goes to sleep » when the other « awakes », coming out of the tube.
The minutes indication is on the center and the hours is the small gold hand with a triangle aperture.
Launched at Baselworld 2015, the timpiece has a unique aesthetic and deep thoughts behind it. FREDERIC JOUVENOT also choose comfortable features such as a titanium case and a sapphire bezel which not only gives lightness but more visibility! Well done.
