This timepiece is the soft version of the 1941 Remontoire and i’m glad to see that collectors can
now acquire a wonderful Grönefeld piece in a different price range

From all angles, the 1941 Principia is Superb! The Gold plated salmon dial matches perfectly the blued flame hands. I’m not a big fan of the expression « Less is more » but in this case, i would say that it's appropriate. I can totally see people looking at your wrist and thinking: « This watch looks nice » without knowing the amount of knowledge and craftsmanship in it.

The segment of « minimalist » / clean dials is a fascinating part of the industry and with time, i tend to appreciate it more.

The back has a stunning finishing and decoration. The rotor is made of 22K Gold and the bridges are in stainless steel (typically Dutch style).

Obviously, it’s a luxury object. The prices start at 30K (tax excluded). Nevertheless, in the world of High end Watchmaking the value for money is pretty good!

Many elements show that there is a lot of work done on the calibre and i suggest you to take a loupe in order to discover the details of the « engine »

I was browsing their website and had the pleasant surprise to see a case/dial/strap configurator which is extremely rare in watch websites so MERCI !

The 1941 Principia is in the final 6 selected pieces of the GPHG 2019 so in a way, it’s already a success but i can’t wait to see the results on November the 7th at the ceremony.

Netherlands is once again well represented!
Good luck, Grönefeld brothers.
