LOUIS MOINET - ULTRAVOX
LOUIS MOINET continues to impress and this time, they’re introducing
a timepiece which strikes the Hours
The Ultravox is a high complicated mechanical creation and i have to say that it’s pretty nice to see novelties launched outside the big annual fairs/salons. Like many others brands Louis Moinet decided to spread their panel of new pieces during the all year and to me, that’s a smart strategy (as long as the product is relevant).
316 components to strike the Hours and tell the time! Superb. There is no dial and with such beautiful movement, no need to add one. The Hammer at 12 o’clock will « animate » each hour of the day with a sound and the complication uses a micro-rotor to fill its energy needs. However a manual winding action is possible through the crown.
On the side case, at 8 o’clock, there is a « silent mode » pusher and at 10 o’clock, the possibility to activate the mechanism on demand.
The « Ninja Star » at 10 o’clock (on the dial, above a blue background) shows the seconds. The indication has no graduation but the idea behind it is to allow its owner to see if the watch is running or not.
The back is pretty cool! Love the two black micro-rotor. The calibre LM56 is a Fantastic development and i knew it would be the case as Eric Coudray of Tec Ebauches is behind it.
Well done! LOUIS MOINET.
