Made for deep dives or water sports in general, this timepiece (launched at the SIHH 2018) has an interesting design. Of course, many functions such as the helium valve at 9 o’clock or crown guard makes the concept coherent but to me, this creation continues to mainly express the vision of Mr. Pruniaux.

All indications are pretty clear and easy to read. Central Hour & Minutes hands, a small red hand for the seconds and a date aperture at 3 o’clock. You can also move the bezel which is a standard for diving watches.

I like how and where the crown is placed. It totally makes sense to protect it, knowing that the piece is water resistant up to 1’000 meters. It also explains why the case back isn’t open.

With a diameter of 46,00 mm, ULYSSE NARDIN presents it as a men’s watch. However, i would love to know if in other regions (than Europe) some Women would be interested or attracted to wear big diameters like this one.

Very light thanks to its titanium case, i can totally see it on my wrist when i’m swimming or diving.

Sometimes, some people tend to forget that the brand has a deep connection with Marine chronometers. With the Diver Deep Dive, ULYSSE NARDIN stays close to its history and at the same time offer a contemporary creation.
