A NEW OSCILLATOR !

The oscillating system of a watch is commonly called the « heart » of the movement. Made of two parts (the balance wheel & hairspring) and invented by Christiann Huygens in 1675, no one really reinvented it until today!

The LVMH Watch division, under the supervision of M. Jean-Claude Biver gather the best know-hows and individuals (in particular, M. Guy Semon) to present what i would call a Real Novelty and consequently the Future of ZENITH, currently under M. Julien Tornare.

The DEFY LAB is a Revolution for two main reasons : 1st / It reinvents a key part of the mechanical movement. 2nd / It’s planned to be produced in a massive scale.

Made of Silicium, the oscillator is actually one single component! and runs at 15Hz (3 times more then a El Primero, 5Hz). Of course with such frequency, the precision of your timepiece is impressive. +/ - 0.3 second per day!!! and the power reserve offered is 60 hours.

The « Component » is not affected by the temperature, gravity and if it wasn’t enough, it doesn’t need any lubrication!
This is simply Shocking… Reminder: We are still talking about that mechanical timepiece.

Three certifications confirm the performance of the calibre ZO 342. The « Tête de Vipère » chronometer certification of Besançon, The ISO-3159 regarding the thermal material and ISO-764 on magnetism matters.
